I didn't believe it at first. Being a true believer in Capitalism, and even understanding the basis idea behind the ' trickle down theory ". When my modern age son joined the ranks of the 'anti big business ' mentality...my stomach turned. How could he not see the POWER of Capitalism and the OBVIOUS benefits to our American economic society. But the power of these big companies cannot be denied, and he was right in this respect: The power of the US GOVERNMENT and the power of BIG BUSINESS have congealed. The power of the EXECUTIVE branch of government ( the current impending police State) and the power of the JUDICIARY have congealed. The concept of 'checks and balances' ' so carefully made to protect the power of the PEOPLE....is evaporating. Our little 250 year experiment that is America, ...is failing. The Government is influenced and dictated by big business now....not the people. It's akin to the system of oligarchy influenced government in Russia. The sheeple have accepted it without knowing it through fear, complacency, and methods that slowly usurp your freedoms by methodically getting you to accept the unacceptable through incrementalism and assimilation. To stand up for the hard fought rights is to be a black sheep somehow. Our little American experiment is failing. Will there be action to preserve these rights? Or cowardly concession.? Thank you for your Patriotism. You are a hero that makes a stand a great personal risk! Unfortunately, you may be up against insurmountable odds already:(. We are reaching a precipice. You must choose. Action...or concession.
For now, the small rebellion against mass surveillance has won small, temporary battles. But the will be back! New laws wil be writtten, new methods will come, and you will be blindsided through legeslative methods of 'incrementalism and assimilation. Kinda like the story of the boiling frog. " Hey, this bathwater is kinda nice!"..... then suddenly, you are cooked!
